The Raymond Town Board met in a regular meeting July 7, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order. Members present were Eric Mehlberg and Gale Filipek. Also present Bill Noethlich, Darrin Leetch, Robin Woodring, Catie Noethlich and Carrie Reis, Finance Officer (FO).
There being no old business, Bill Noethlich was given the oath of office for trustee- three-year term. Larry Brannan retired, and the Town gratefully thanks him for his 24 years of dedication and service to our town. We appreciate all he did behind the scenes to keep our town running smoothly!
Each year the board of trustees elects a Town President for a one-year term. Noethlich made a motion to nominate Eric Mehlberg with Filipek seconding. This position is the authorized signer for bank accounts and any papers that need the Town President's signature.
The minutes and financials were approved with a motion by Mehlberg and seconded by Filipek. The following claims were paid: NW Energy 589.08; Cook's Waste 480.30; Darrin Leetch 377.88; Carrie Reis 454.84; Elan Financial 29.53, gas; IRS 825.66, withholding; S.D. Dept. of Revenue 127.70, sales tax; Larry Brannan 101.59, meeting; Dakota Portable Toilets 125.00; ITC 37.69, lift station; Clark County Weed & Pest 172.11, mosquito control.
Robin Woodring and Catie Noethlich, representing the Raymond Redwing committee and Choose Clark County, were all present to discuss the bathroom project at the city park. They have received enough funding to get started and wanted to review the plans for any updates or changes before meeting with the contractor. This will be a great asset to the community!
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned with a motion by Mehlberg and seconded by Noethlich.
The next regular meeting will be August 3, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.
