NOTICE OF JOINT PUBLIC HEARING BY CLARK COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION AND BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ON PROPOSED ORDINANCE #04-26 AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE V DEFINITIONS OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF CLARK COUNTY ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE 01-14, AS AMENDED.
The Clark County Planning Commission and the Clark County Board of County Commissioners will hold a joint public hearing at its meeting on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. at the Clark County Courthouse pursuant to SDCL 11-2-18, 11-2-19, 11-2-29, and 11-2-30. All interested persons are encouraged to participate and comment on the proposed Ordinance #04-26, An ordinance amending Article V [Definitions] of Ordinance 01-14, an ordinance amending Ordinance 03-03, An ordinance establishing zoning regulations for Clark County, South Dakota, as amended by amending the definition of "Family." The Planning Commission may recommend approval of Ordinance #02-26 with or without amending to the Board of County Commissioners pursuant to SDCL 11-2-18 and 11-2-19. Further, The Board of County Commissioners will have the second reading of Ordinance #04-26 and consideration, with or without amendment, pursuant to SDCL 11-2-20 and 7-18A-5.
The physical location of this meeting is at the Clark County Courthouse, 200 N. Commercial Street, Clark. Since it may be easier to remotely participate, this meeting will also be held virtually over a tele-conference platform. All persons interested in this matter may register to be heard before the Board of Adjustment during said hearing. Written comments may be filed with the Clark County Zoning Officer by noon on Friday, August 21, 2026. No materials will be placed on the above website after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026.
