The Vienna Town Board met on April 9, 2026 at 8:00 p.m., at the Town Hall. President Kirk Roberts called the meeting to order. Members present were Kirk Roberts, Lue Regnier, Finance Officer (FO).
Roberts made a motion to pay the bills and seconded by Clarke. Clark County Courier $65.84; NW Energy, Town Hall, $262.74; NW Energy, Fire Dept., $335.49; NW Energy, street lights, $744.65; Sioux Rural Water, Fire Dept. $74.65; Justing Feuerhelm, plow/blade repair, $225.00; Nancy Roberts, wages, $370.22; Country Store, diesel for blade, $216.14.
Mosquito spraying was discussed. The County will be doing the spraying. The Town of Vienna wants the spraying done no matter what.
A motion was made by Regnier and seconded by Roberts to see what Lawn and Garden would do as a trade in for a newer mower.
Kyle Wilen was a guest at the meeting to discuss gravel on the roads. This had been approved by the Board at an earlier meeting. The roads will be graveled.
The State of South Dakota came out and inspected the Town dump. It did pass inspection. The Board would like to burn the dump and clean it up. The State will be notified at such time that the dump is burned. Reminder: Only concrete and trees can be dumped there.
The roll off dumpster has been brought in. It is located in front of the Town Hall. No household garbage can be put in there. Appliances and metal, steel, etc. will be placed outside the rolloff, in front of it. Only residents of Vienna may use the rolloff.
The next meeting of the Town Board will be May 14, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., at the Town Hall. Motion to adjourn made by Regnier and seconded by Clarke.
