Inktober 2024 (Days 3-9)

Introduction

Welcome to my corner! Last week, I shared my first two creations for Inktober 2024. This week, I have seven more for your viewing pleasure. I hope they inspire you to create as well!

I want you to participated in Inktober too! Anyone can do it, young and old! And, guess what? Our top three favorite Inktober subscriber submissions will each get $10.00 and free candy! (Because of course, it's Halloween!) They'll also be published in the November 6 edition of the Clark County Courier.

(Website) Inktober rules:
1) Make a drawing in ink (you can do a pencil under-drawing if you want).
2) Post it**
3) Hashtag it with #inktober and #inktober2024
4) Repeat
Note: you can do it daily, or go the half-marathon route and post every other day, or just do the 5K and post once a week. What ever you decide, just be consistent with it. Inktober is about growing and improving and forming positive habits, so the more you're consistent the better.

That's it! Now, go make something beautiful!

**Post it on any social media account you want or just post it on your refrigerator. The point is to share your art with someone.

If we get enough submissions, I'll open it up to voting in office and online! So, please participate! We'd all love to see your art! Submit them through Facebook (either tag us @ Clark County Courier or send them to us through a message), email them to us (clarkcountycourier@gmail.com) or drop them off with us at our office!

Now, get to work! And, good luck to all of you!

Without further ado, here are my creations for Inktober 2024 Days 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9.

Inktober 2024

Day 3, Boots: Our oldest kitty cat at home is named Boots. He's a black and white tuxedo cat with cute little white boots. He's 14 years old. I'm not always great with realistic drawings, so I tend to go more toward the cartoonish style.

Day 4, Exotic: I wasn't to sure what to draw for exotic at first, but I figured I would end up drawing a flower or bird. I'm pretty proud of this one. The bird is a grey crowned crane

Day 5, Binoculars: I knew what I wanted to do with this one; the only problem was the execution, mostly in the hands/arms. I struggle so much with hands/arms, and I could not for the life of me get it to look the way I wanted, so I left it here.

Day 6, Trek: I needed a little inspiration for this one, which my mom gave to me.

Day 7, Passport: I didn't really have any creative ideas for this one, so it's pretty basic.

Day 8, Hike: After finishing my work on Day 6 for Trek, I wasn't very inspired for Hike, so they're pretty similar.

Day 9, Sun: I had fun wit this one. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. I don't think it took me very long to complete it.

Please share your Inktober creations with us! Tell us how and why you created what you did. Submit them through Facebook (either tag us @Clark County Courier or send them to us through a message), email them to us (clarkcountycourier@gmail.com) or drop them off with us at our office! Come back next week for the next seven days worth of art!
