Dialo Owen Schmidt, 92, passed away on December 29, 2025, at the State Veterans Home in Hot Springs, S.D. A service was held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Aberdeen on Monday, January 5, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. Visitation was from 3:00-5:00 P.M. on Sunday, followed by a prayer service at 5:00 P.M. at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home.
Preceding Dialo in death were his parents, Charlie and Leone; wife Margaret; daughter Kathy; wife Gerry; brother Bevan; and sister Beverly. He is survived by three children, Randy, Vickie and Kelly; two sisters, Charlotte and Myrna; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
