Inktober 2024 (Days 17-23)

Introduction

Welcome to my corner! Last week, I shared my Day 10-16 creations for Inktober 2024. This week, I have seven more for your viewing pleasure. I hope they inspire you to create as well!

I want you to participated in Inktober too! Anyone can do it, young and old! And, guess what? Our top three favorite Inktober subscriber submissions will each get $10.00 and free candy! (Because of course, it's Halloween!) They'll also be published in the November 6 edition of the Clark County Courier.

(Website) Inktober rules:
1) Make a drawing in ink (you can do a pencil under-drawing if you want).
2) Post it**
3) Hashtag it with #inktober and #inktober2024
4) Repeat
Note: you can do it daily, or go the half-marathon route and post every other day, or just do the 5K and post once a week. What ever you decide, just be consistent with it. Inktober is about growing and improving and forming positive habits, so the more you're consistent the better.

That's it! Now, go make something beautiful!

**Post it on any social media account you want or just post it on your refrigerator. The point is to share your art with someone.

If we get enough submissions, I'll open it up to voting in office and online! So, please participate! We'd all love to see your art! Submit them through Facebook (either tag us @ Clark County Courier or send them to us through a message), email them to us (clarkcountycourier@gmail.com) or drop them off with us at our office!

Now, get to work! And, good luck to all of you!

Without further ado, here are my creations for Inktober 2024 Day 17-23.

Inktober 2024

Day 17, Journal: I thought the best route to go would be to draw my little character journaling. I pictured a cartoon character hard at work with their eyes right down to the table. I tried to represent that.

Day 18, Drive: I know I wanted to do a silhouette of a car on the road for this one; adding the sun and cacti was just icing on the cake.

Day 19, Ridge: I had no clue for this one. I went straight to Google, and all I got were pictures of mountain ridges. So, here we are. I wasn't very excited about this one. Note the lack of effort.

Day 20, Uncharted: As is usual for me, I didn't have any ideas right off hand for this prompt. The only thing I could really think of was uncharted territory, but I didn't know how to art that. So, I went with my own kind of humor. I thought back to math and science class for this one and the use of charts to solve problems. I drew my little character in front of a board with a blank chart... I thought it was funny.

Day 21, Rhinoceros: This one is definitely one of my favorite reactions of this year. So cute! I can't really explain why, but this is exactly what I pictured in my head when I was coming up with ideas for Rhinoceros. A Rhino eating an ice cream cone.

Day 22, Camp: I got the inspiration for this one from someone else's artwork. I like how it came out. I added the kitty cat.

Day 23, Rust: I went with a rusty bucket for this one, because I find it funny.

Please share your Inktober creations with us! Tell us how and why you created what you did. Submit them through Facebook (either tag us @Clark County Courier (make sure your post privacy setting is public) or send them to us through a message), email them to us (clarkcountycourier@gmail.com) or drop them off with us at our office! Come back next week for the next seven days worth of art!
