The town board of Garden City met in special session on September 16, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. at the Garden City Fire Hall Community Room. President Hansen brought the meeting to order with the following people present: Joyce Hansen, Jake Leibke, Alan Luckhurst and finance officer Andrea Helkenn. David Waples was absent.
AGENDA: Motion by Hansen to approve agenda. Seconded by Leibke. All voting aye. Motion carried.

EXECUTIVE SESSION Pursuant to SDCL 1-25-2 None.
Forest will bring in a load of crushed asphalt for east end of Main St. He will coordinate blading with Leibke and dust control on Main St. and Railway Ave. S.
Helkenn gave update on loans for purchase/installation of water meters. Dacotah Bank and REED loans were discussed, and initial paperwork has been completed.
Cost of water meters, water charge after installation, timeline and payment options were discussed. No action taken at this time.
City informational meeting will be held September 21, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. in Garden City Fire Hall Community Room. Letters have been sent to residents.
