A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN BOARD OF BRADLEY, DECLARING INTENTION TO ENTER INTO LEAASE AGREEMENT FOR FORMER BANK BUILDING LOCATED AT LOTS 8 & 9, BLOCK 1, ORIGINAL BRADLEY, SOUTH DAKOTA AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the Town of Bradley is authorized pursuant to 9-12-5.2 to lease a municipally owned property to private person; and
WHEREAS, this body desires to formally declare its preliminary intent to proceed with the lease agreement with Terry and Melinda Yexley and provide official notice to the public and relevant taxing entities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town of Bradley as follows:
- Declaration of Intent: The Town of Bradley hereby declares its official intent to enter into lease agreement for former bank building located at Lots 8 & 9, Block 1, Original Bradley, South Dakota.
- Non-Binding Nature: This resolution is an expression of present intent only and does not legally obligate the Town of Bradley to finalize the agreement or adopt a final binding ordinance until all public reviews and final votes are completed.
- Public Hearing: A public hearing on this matter shall be held on August 24, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. at Bradley Community Center, where all interested persons may appear and be heard.
- Notice Publication: The Finance Officer is hereby directed to publish a notice of this intent in a local newspaper of general circulation and file required copies with the [County Auditor/State Equalization Board] at least 10 days prior to the hearing.
