Fred Hink of Prineville, Ore. passed away peacefully at his home October 8, 2025.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 1, 2026 at the American Legion Hall in Raymond beginning at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow after the memorial service. Lunch will be served after the burial.
Fredrick (Fred) Walter Hink was born January 22, 1948 in Watertown, S.D. to Floyd and Edith (Shoecraft) Hink. He attended Raymond High School and graduated from Bancroft High School in 1967. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army with a tour in Okinawa, Japan.
Fred married Cynthia Petersen, and unto this union, daughter Emily was born. Fred worked at Green Line John Deere in Clark, S.D. until their move to Redmond, Ore.
Fred moved to Prineville, Ore. where he was employed by Hesston. After his retirement, Fred enjoyed fixing things, going to rummage sales and playing Bingo.
Survivors include his wife, Joann; his children, daughter Emily and adopted son Stacey Hink; three grandchildren Jazzamin, Reuben and Madilyn, including two step-children and many step-grandchildren; siblings and spouses Roger and Marlene Hink of Raymond, Loren and friend Virginia of Aberdeen, David and Karen Hink of Clark, Barbara Erickson of Raymond, Elaine Ruby of Watertown and sister-in-law Florence Hink of Raymond; and many nieces and nephews.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bill and brother-in-law Keith Erickson.
