Eileen G. Pulling

Eileen G. Pulling, 81, died April 20, 2026 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls after a brief battle with cancer.

Eileen G. Finstad was born May 24, 1944 to George and Elsie (Essington) Finstad in Webster, S.D. She grew up near Bradley and attended Cottonwood 59 Country School. She graduated from Bradley High School in 1962. Following graduation, she moved to Aberdeen, where she worked for several companies.

On October 6, 2001, Eileen married Wesley D. Pulling in Aberdeen, and they made their home there. With this union, she gained an instant family of three children with their spouses and six grandchildren, which grew into 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She loved each of them as her own.

Eileen worked for Aman Collection, Brown County Courthouse and Great Western Bank (which later became First Interstate Bank). Together, Eileen and Wesley enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching game shows and visiting with friends and classmates. She loved spending time with her family. Wesley and Eileen were members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Grateful for having shared Eileen's life are her husband, Wes Pulling; children: Tammy and Greg Huss, Mark and Leanne Pulling, Chad and Jaime Pulling; grandchildren: Ashley, Michael (Cami), David, Nathan (Lexi), Leah (DJ), Desirae, Noah (Hadley), Alex, Emily, Nicholas, Peter (Skylee), Paul and Zachary; seven great-grandchildren; siblings: Maxine Lammle and Cheryl (Douglas) Sorrelle; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Preceding Eileen and in death are her parents and brother-in-law Chandler Lammle.

A small family service was held Monday, April 27 with burial at Riverside Cemetery in Aberdeen.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to local or national cancer foundations or directed to the family.
